Michael Burak is a 40 year veteran of real estate ownership, leasing and management. He has extensive experience with a diverse portfolio of real estate assets. His deep understanding of the subtleties of real estate were honed early; he received a B.S. in real estate from NYU School of Commerce and a M.S. in urban planning from Columbia University School of Architecture where he was a William Kinne Fellow living in Europe for two years studying real estate and planning issues.

Prior to joining the Bloom Real Estate Group he was the principal of a leasing and property management firm which managed office buildings in Manhattan and Boston.

He negotiated over 700 leasing transactions with a total value in excess of $200 million. In the course of his career he has sold and bought several major properties and development sites in New York City and Boston. He was the first person to open an American commercial real estate firm in South Korea and has received several awards from the Korean government for the work he did there. Mr. Burak maintains his relationships with the Korean community and has completed several retail leases with Korean owners.
